Meet the Board

Co-President & Co-Treasurer

Larry is a financial advisor/planner with HBKS Wealth Advisors in Fredonia. He is married (Erika) and has 3 grown children (Jack, Kate & Lily), and is actively involved with several other local non-profit organizations. He has been on the board for 10 years, 6 as president, and chairman for the Red, White & Blues Festival.

A Fredonia native through and through, Isabella has deep roots in the community she loves. Her family’s business, Pucci’s Carpet Furniture and Bedding, has long been a proud sponsor of Festivals Fredonia, and it was through attending meetings with her mom and sister Victoria that Isabella discovered a love for bringing the community together through events. What started as showing up to support the family sponsorship quickly turned into a full-fledged passion for celebrating the town she calls home. When she’s not making cider/wine or planning festivals, you can find Isabella out on a run or soaking up the great outdoors. Small-town life is her happy place, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Secretary

Victoria Pucci-Schaefer is someone who has never needed much convincing when it comes to showing up for her community. A Fredonia native, she first made her mark locally by contributing to the Small Business Revolution committee in 2019-2020, and has been finding new ways to plug in ever since — most recently as Secretary of Festivals Fredonia, where she has been an enthusiastic part of the team for over a year. By day, Victoria wears several hats: she is the Marketing & Communications and Furniture & Window Treatment Specialist at Pucci Carpet One Furniture and Bedding — a longtime Festivals Fredonia sponsor and her family’s legacy business — and the founder of Social Anchor, her own social media consulting and design venture. Her knack for storytelling, community building, and creative strategy makes her a natural fit for bringing the spirit of Festivals Fredonia to life.

Judy’s initial introduction to Festivals Fredonia was at the Farm Festival in 2015, and then as a participant on the Harvest Moon Cemetery Tour later that year. Having just moved to the area, she was looking for opportunities to engage with, and contribute to her new community. She has served as a Board Member of Festivals Fredonia since 2017 and has volunteered at every festival since joining. She is active in the Fredonia community, and lives in Fredonia with her husband and daughter

Laura is the Manager of the SUNY Fredonia Federal Credit Union, overseeing operations and providing financial services to the Fredonia State University campus and community.  She served as the Publicity Coordinator for Fredonia’s Scout Troop 267 and is a Norwex Independent Sales Consultant.  Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, trivia night with her friends and scrapbooking.  Laura’s diverse experiences highlight her dedication to service, community involvement, and environmental sustainability.

Kirstin is a Dental Office Manager who comes to Festivals Fredonia after “retiring” from the board of CV Parent Teacher Organization after almost 2 decades of service to her son’s school district. She was also a member of the Golden Cougars Soccer Boosters prior to her son’s graduation.

Lin is an educator who enjoys volunteering and helping others. She retired from the Dunkirk City School District after teaching there for 33 years. She has been a part time adjunct instructor in the College of Education at SUNY Fredonia since 2007. Lin has been the Co-Director of Great Lake FX , a children’s science, nature and art program (501c3) since 2001. Lin has also been employed as a Fitness Instructor at Darwin’s Health Club for more than 40 years. She resides in Fredonia with her husband Al and she is the proud mom of Suzi Cope (husband Steve Mayone) and adorable grandchildren Rocco and Lu who reside in Brooklyn, NY.

Joanne has served on the Festival Fredonia Board for several years and has in the past hosted Fredonia History Days and assists and supports our other festivals in many capacities.  In recent years, she has served as a volunteer and board member to county and local organizations. 

She is a long time Fredonia resident, a retired Speech-Language Pathologist and Teacher of the Deaf. Joanne and her husband own and run WeatherHill farm in Fredonia.

Joan, her husband, Richard and sister, Pamela Clemens began participating in Festivals Fredonia acting as characters in the Harvest Moon Cemetery Tours. She remembers acting with her sister, husband and friends as being “The best time” as most of the “acting” was unscripted and she never knew where the bantering and sister competition would lead us! As well, Richard acted as a soldier and he was surrounded by some very seasoned jokesters. Joan has continued to volunteer in Festivals events for many years joining her close friends and two years ago Chaired the Harvest Moon Cemetery Tour. She was asked to become a board member and agreed to do so. Joan retired from Brocton Central School in 2010 as Home School Coordinator for Students with Disabilities ages 3-21. Her career with Brocton CSD spanned 31 years. During that time, she was chairperson of both the Preschool and School Age Committees on Special Education. Joan has resided in Fredonia for 39 years after being raised in Brocton. She has two adult boys. One son Richard resides with his family in Florida, and Patrick with his family resides in Virginia. Joan is very excited and proud to participate in Festivals Fredonia and to share their mission of providing yearlong family events while showcasing Fredonia and the surrounding community!
